Operation Overlord Empty Operation Overlord

Post by Cheekyman07 Wed Jun 06, 2012 1:12 pm

Today marks the 68th anniversary of 'Operation Overlord' (D-Day) During this operation there were around 200,000 Allied casualties from 6 June to the end of August.

The sacrifice they made is the reason I am here today, along with many others and I thank them for that from the bottom of my heart.

Ike: Countdown to D-Day
I posted this on a few other websites after watching this movie today, my grandfather was part of this and watching this brought me to tears, I recommend giving this a watch to anyone it really made me think about how lucky I am.
